CHRISTMAS AT THE BARN !

DATES: November 28th and December 5th
TIMES: 9:00AM to 1:00PM

Mark your calendars for a wonderful annual event at the Hubbards Barn!
On November 28th and December 5th, plan to do your holiday shopping at Christmas at the Barn. Expect to see all your favourite Farmers’ Market vendors, plus a wonderful line-up of artisans and crafters. Vendors will be located both inside the Barn and outdoors, so dress warmly. Just Us! Coffee will be available at both these events. As always, admission is free.

The Hubbards Barn Association advises that the COVID-19 policy developed for the Modified Markets this season, will remain in effect. Visit www.hubbardsbarn.org for more information. Please wear a mask, practice social distancing, and be prepared to wait your turn for entrance inside the Barn as there will be a limit of 60 shoppers inside at all times.

If you have an hour or two to spare, and would like to volunteer on either date of this event, contact volunteer@hubbardsbarn.org .

Please read on for our Modified Market procedures which we are currently following for your safety and the safety of our vendors and community.

We launched our 2020 Modified Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 4th.

A small (but mighty!) band of Barn volunteers have been hard at work to make this happen. Our goal is to provide a safe and well organized market experience for our loyal customers, while strictly adhering to the Covid-19 public health & safety regulations.

Want to help out at the market? We love (and rely) on our volunteers! For more information, email Laura Keeler at volunteer@hubbardsbarn.org

What Does the Modified Market Look Like?

For starters, the vendors are carefully spaced out for everyone’s safety. Customers must follow a one-way route that will take them past every vendor outside in the meadow and inside the Barn. There will be a passing lane for shoppers who want to fast-track through. All customers must practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart, and we require everyone to wear a face mask whenever they are inside the Barn.

The Hubbards Farmers’ Market, now in its twentieth-fourth year of operation, is located at the beautiful Hubbards Barn & Community Park in the middle of 6 acres of peaceful woodlands and fields.

We have over 40 local vendors from all points along the South Shore, the Valley and Halifax. Their high quality wares feature delicious fresh toasted bagels, organic fair-trade coffee, fresh vegetables and herbs, berries, jams, jellies, premium spirits, wines, grass-fed beef, lamb, chicken, eggs, fresh and smoked fish, wonderfully aromatic breads, cookies, cakes, pies, sausages and other treats.

Buy fresh flowers for a friend or just for you, perennials, baskets, candles, quilts, bags, jewelry from beads and glass to silver and gold, and wonderful handmade soaps. Watch our revolving tables for new unique local items.
