We are delighted to announce the launch of our Modified Farmers’ Market, starting on Saturday, July 4th.
A small (but mighty!) band of Barn volunteers have been hard at work to make this happen. Our goal is to provide a safe and well organized market experience for our loyal customers, while strictly adhering to the Covid-19 public health & safety regulations.
What Will the Modified Market Look Like?
For starters, the vendors will be carefully spaced out for everyone’s safety. Customers will follow a one-way route that will take them past every vendor outside in the meadow and inside the Barn. There will be a passing lane for shoppers who want to fast-track through. All customers must practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart, and we strongly encourage everyone to wear a face mask!
- Plan to attend alone, or bring another family member if you need assistance shopping
- Leave your children safely at home, if possible. If you must bring your child(ren), they have to remain with you in line at all times. The sandpit is closed for the season.
- Only service dogs can attend the Modified Market. Please leave your dogs safely at home.
- Plan to leave the Modified Market once you have finished your shopping. Picnic tables are not available, and we are taping off the benches to remind you not to use them.
How can I participate if I’m not ready to be out at a public event?
That’s a great question. If you’re not ready to leave the safety of your home, we understand. Or if you’re not feeling well, have travelled and are self-isolating, OR if you have vulnerable people in your household, there is still a way to shop from many Hubbards Farmers’ Market vendors.
Supporting our local farmers and artisans is perhaps even more important than ever this year, and many of our vendors are making their products available for pickup or delivery. Scroll down and click on the link to view the list of vendors and their current ordering details.
